The Kremlin Cup (Russian: ????? ??????) is a professional tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It is currently part of the ATP World Tour 250 series of the ATP Tour and is a Premier Tournament on the WTA Tour. It has been held annually at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow, Russia, since 1990.
The Kremlin Cup was first created in 1990 becoming the first international professional tennis tournament to be held in Russia. The tournament started as a men's only event during the first years of its run, before it became a joint event in 1996.
Until 2007, it was held on a carpet surface. It is now held on a RuKortHard surface.
The 2011 Kremlin Cup will be a tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It will be the 22nd edition of the Kremlin Cup, and was part of the ATP World Tour 250 Series of the 2011 ATP World Tour, and of the Premier Series of the 2011 WTA Tour. It will be held at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow, Russia, from October 15 through October 23, 2011.
Top seed for this event will be Victor Troicki, with Janko Tipsarevic as the second seed, and Alexandr Dolgopolov will be the third.
